Discovering Pericos
During my very first sourcing trip, I stumbled upon some beautiful parrot carvings. I fell in love instantly—they were the perfect symbol to represent a magical moment from my wedding in Costa Rica, where a pair of macaws flew overhead just as I walked down the aisle. Believing this was too specific a memory to resonate with others, I initially picked up only two carvings, just for my personal collection.
More than just a personal memory
After I shared these pieces from my collection, the response was overwhelming. People loved them and continuously asked if I could make more. To my surprise, every time I’ve released these in limited drops, they’ve sold out in 24 hours! This experience taught me that even the most personal symbols can connect deeply with others, each person seeing their own story in these designs.
