Sleeping Beauty is known for its vibrant blue color, which is often described as "sky blue" or "robin's egg blue." It is one of the few turquoise varieties that naturally occur in such a bright and consistent shade of blue. It gets its name from the Sleeping Beauty Mine in Globe, Arizona, where it was mined. The mine closed in 2012, so now this gem is even more special and hard to come by.
